Somewhere, soon into the second set, this really turns into a pretty good show. An absolutely sick 5B4 Funk.

Perhaps it's true that when you're reincarnated you come back as someone better. That's certainly the case for the SOUND at the new Sweetwater in M.V. Fifteen feet back and center in front of stage was absolutely phenomenal.

There was a very excited buzz in the audience for this show (even though there was also chatter around the back and sides of the room throughout.) Seems like there were a lot of people there who'd never seen Steve before either - a good thing! Fantastic night of live improvisation with wonderful interplay between Jeff on keys and Steve. Bobby Vega was the funky rock monster - holding the bottom down with confidence and finesse. And Prairie Prince was nothing but solid.

Thanks to everyone involved, and certainly hope that Bob Cogswell's 24 bit files from both nights (he was the 'official' taper) become available.
With this show, the fat files are worth seeking out!

Thanks so much for this! Haven't listened yet but I bet it sounds amazing as the sound in sweet water is impeccable. These shows smoked!! Berm has some mind blowing runs from Steve with some kind of octave effect happening. Love it
